The openings are strategically placed to maximize views to the sea without compromising the privacy of its interior. A particular focus is placed on exterior spaces. Various balconies, a roof terrace with a sundeck oriented toward the horizon and a cantilevered pool lets the user enjoy the sensorial stimuli of the sea from the comfort of home.
The roof design conciliates the duality between aesthetics and functionality. It serves both as a display of style and a sustainability device. A steel structure cladded with solar panels can power the entire home. The structure is inclined to maximize its exposure to the sun, increased shaded areas on the roof terrace and channel storm water to a graywater cistern. The roof’s three-fold functionality as a solar farm, shade and water collection device, harnesses the resources of our climate while reducing the carbon footprint of the project.
